Very good, authentic Mexican food. The chili rellanos were excellent. My adult son loved the "Carlos Burrito".

Great service and yummy food. The chips and salsa is delicious. I ordered a tamale and beef taco combo. The tamale had cheese inside, which I’ve never had but it was good. The shredded beef hard taco was amazing as well.

Excellent. Favorite Mexican restaurant by far in town. Has an amazing taco Tuesday. Very very well service, never have been unhappy. Carlos the owner is very nice gentleman as well as all the other servers. Very happy with this place. You will not be dissatisfied.

Ive been grinding at this one for a minute. Family or friends bitchen little taste of heaven. Especially taco tuesday. May have to wait a spell smaller place patio is in high demand cool vibe in old town. Worth it every time

I've come to the conclusion that there is NO good Mexican food in San Clemente. The food here is not Mexican. It might be made by Mexicans but that's about as close as it comes.

I went to this place and worst place ever. I don't recommend it. So bad customer service and attention, there is a robust man very gross and disrespectful, place and people horrible, everything is bad looking. I'll never going back there, they refuse to serve me with no reason. Worst place ever.

Beyond awful service. Went this weekend with a friend. Restaurant was empty with one table of 8 outside. Asked server/host if he had room for 2. He handed me two menus without saying a word and walked away. We found a seat on the patio. Chairs and surrounding area were unclean. Ordered a Bohemia - they were out. He rattled off the 3 beers they did have so I ordered one. Ordered a shredded beef tostada. Tasted okay. Meat was a little fatty, lettuce - brown and beans - watery. Definitely not worth the $15 price point. Had to flag him down for a to-go box and bill. Never once asked if we needed anything while we were dining. In fact, I don't think he even said more than 5 words. He had a gallon of cologne on and seemed like he was having a really bad day or just wanted to be anywhere else but there. Should have gone to La Siesta. They always delight with food, service and reasonable prices.

This is a good local restaurant, try the alpastor tacos.

Salsa legit! House beer legit.. That's all you need!

this place is amazing the best Mexican restaurant in San Clemente a cozy place where you can bring friends and family servers are very nice very attentive and there's something in the menu for you I guarantee it

I have not had anything there that was anything short of absolutely delicious. The service is also the best in town! It is a little pricier than most of the Mexican food places in town but it is definitely worth it. My family and I eat here about 3 times a month!

The food was plentiful and extra delicious... and the Cadillac Margarita was on point, thanx and let's not forget the wait staff... they were so friendly 🍻😉😏🤩

Great food and drinks

Outstanding experience! As my wife and I walked up, there was a nice lady making fresh tortillas near the entrance. We were seated and promptly brought warm fresh tortillas, salsa and our drinks. I had enchiladas and my wife had the seafood fajitas. Both of us really enjoyed our meals! Tony (our server) was awesome and kept our drinks full and kept bringing us freshly made tortillas. We will definitely be back again! Only bad thing could be parking, but that is common in that part of town.

Not only is the service excellent, but they will always make you feel like apart of their family. The food is amazing and the Margaritas are perfect. Incredibly warm and happy atmosphere.

The worst Mexican joint in town.This place use to be awesome and this review is from a local,born and raised here in San Clemente.The beans taste like from a can and the cheese tasted on the verge of moldy.The Patio is tiny and they discriminate on what type of dog is allowed on the patio.God forbid if you have a bull breed yet they have no problem with labs and boxers.If you want true Mexican food and great service go to El Ranchito on Del Mar Street and you and your 4 legged dog(no matter the breed) will be treated like family and meet other dog lovers!Or go to taco Bell and eat better food than this dive.

Decided to give this place a shot since they had a Groupon deal. I ordered the El Vaquero Steak plate ($27) and was unfortunately disappointed. The meat was overcooked and lacked seasoning; the beans, rice, and guac were generic. To top it off, they did not honor my Groupon. Their tortilla chips were good. I also did not get to sample the drinks, so maybe it's a better experience in that area. Sadly not authentic Mexican food.

Great place! Friendly & attentive! Food is terrific and the Owner Carlos makes things move right along and really makes you feel like a valued customer! I will be coming back for Taco Tuesday again soon! I wish I had taken pictures as the presentation was awesome! Guacamole on a bed of Cucumbers was a real treat!

Great food. If you have dietary needs, they will work with you to have a pleasant meal. Small place, well hidden in old town San Clemente with great food and service. And you can practice your Spanish. They are very patient.

This place is the worst Mexican restaurant in San Clemente. They will bust you around and make your dining experience terrible. They lie and cheat their customers for a quick buck. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE. Try La Siesta or El Ranchito, they will consistently treat you.

One of the best burritos I've ever tried and the restaurant itself is so cute with a very nice atmosphere. Not touristy at all and very much the hangout spot for the CA locals. Definitely coming back!

Our first visit here, and we had a great experience. We’re new to SC and the west coast, and to west coast Mexican cuisine. Our entire family enjoyed their food and portion sizes were generous. What really set them apart was service. Carlos and the other employees were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The best service we’ve received in SC so far.

A tiny gem in the middle of San Clemente. Amazing food and service. Margaritas were top shelf and homemade- no mixes. Salsa and tacos were fantastic! Everything was authentic and made from scratch. Would definitely recommend!!

The best ceviche!

Good for vegetarians. And also not greasy! Best authentic Mexican restaurant in town! And I’d say in Dana point and San Juan as well! First place I have been to that was authentic but not greasy. Also their beans and rice is vegetarian friendly which is really hard to find. My meat-eating family was super impressed as well. We’ve been to all the popular restaurants and weren’t really impressed. Usually super greasy or would hurt our stomachs after not sure why. But this place was great all around and totally surprised us. Also the waiter was really nice and attentive. Glad we finally gave it a try.

The best Mexican restaurant in South Orange County by far excellent albondigas soup shrimp tequila style the best spinach enchiladas out of this world really this place offers traditional Mexican Cuisine sort of contemporary cuisine it's amazing

First of all you get a lot of bang for your buck. i ordered food to go and he gave me all the extra goodies that i could get. Then he sent me home with a large cup of water after i told him i have a long drive back home in a hot day. The food was also delicious. if i happen to be in the area i will go back there again.

My wife did not receive what she ordered. When the server checked what he had given to the cook for my wife's order it turned out the cook got the order wrong. My wife being the easy going person she is decided to accept the dish that was delivered to her. Here is the rub. No discount or any other offers for the mistake made by the restaurant. Also the quality of the food for the price charged was way off.

I went here while visiting from San Diego with friends. Our first server was great, his name was Jose and he is working in the wrong place. He gave great service and split our payment among several cards. Well Jose left and said a new server would be taking over. It's as if a new server never arrived and the whole management team was taking care of us. The food was horrible and lettuce was disgusting. It took 30 minutes to get a margarita from anyone and then at the end of the visit they owner decided to tell us that we'd have to get cash out from his ATM because his "system can't process multiple cards for one check". I asked him if he was positive about that because the last server already did it. All he did was shrug. I will never be back here and hopefully this place shuts down soon. Lying, cheap, bad business owners. Karma.

IF YOU HAVE NOT HAD THEIR TEQUILA WINGS, YOUR MOUTH HAS NOT LIVED! Carnitas Chesadilla is really good too, and Grilled Chicken Salad is awsome.
